Advertise inside ChatGPT — before your competitors work it out
OpenAI's self-serve Ads Manager is open in 63 countries, including every EU member state. It is the first genuinely new major ad channel since TikTok, and right now it is still cheap and still empty. We get you in, properly measured, from day one.
€25–50/day is enough for a first read · Managed from Riga, running in EU, UK and US
Where the channel stands today
- Self-serve Ads Manager live in 63 countries — all EU states, UK, Switzerland, Norway, US, Canada, Japan, India, Brazil, UAE
- Ads shown only to Free and Go users — never to Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu accounts, and never to under-18s
- Objectives available: Clicks, Reach and Conversions, with automated bidding and third-party measurement
- Visual ads next to image generation started rolling out to US advertisers in October 2026
It does not work like Google Ads
There are no keywords to bid on. You describe the conversational context you want to appear in, and the model decides whether your ad belongs in that conversation. That single difference changes targeting, creative and measurement.
| Google Ads | ChatGPT Ads | |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | Keywords, audiences, placements | Conversational context — you describe it, the model matches it |
| Funnel stage | Whole funnel, including bottom-of-funnel intent | Research and comparison, where the shortlist is being built |
| Creative | Text, Shopping, Display, Video, Demand Gen | Sponsored answer card, product spotlight from your feed, contextual sidebar, visual ad |
| Bidding | tCPA, tROAS, max clicks, max conversions | Max CPM for Reach, max CPC for Clicks, automated bidding on Conversions |
| Reporting | Query-level and granular | Aggregate only — no access to individual conversations, by design |
| Competition | Mature and expensive | Early. Fewer bidders, lower clearing prices, more room to learn |
The privacy model is a feature, not a limitation — but it does mean you cannot optimise your way to performance using query reports. Everything depends on getting the context brief and the creative right, which is where most early advertisers lose money.
What we run for you
From account eligibility to the monthly optimisation cycle. If you already run Google Ads with us, this plugs into the same reporting.
Account setup & eligibility
Advertiser account, billing, business verification, brand-suitability settings and policy review before you spend anything. Several categories are restricted — we check yours first.
Context & audience strategy
The core of the channel. We map the conversations where your buyer is comparing options, then write the context briefs that put you in them — and keep you out of the ones that waste budget.
Creative production
Answer cards and visual assets built for a chat surface, not resized banners. Advertiser name, logo, headline, copy, image and landing page, tested in variants.
Product feed setup
For ecommerce: catalogue feed wired up so OpenAI can build product spotlight ads, with the attribute hygiene that decides whether your products show at all.
Tracking & attribution
Conversions objective configured properly, dynamic URL macros, view-through measurement, GA4 and third-party measurement — so this channel is not a black box in your reporting.
Optimisation & reporting
Weekly bid and budget management, context and creative iteration, monthly report with cost per result benchmarked against your other channels.
Ad formats we build
From zero to live in about two weeks
Most of the time goes into the context brief and the creative. The setup itself is quick.
Eligibility & setup
Category and policy check, advertiser account, billing and verification, brand suitability configured. We tell you upfront if your category cannot advertise yet.
Context map & creative
We define the conversations worth appearing in, write the briefs, produce the cards and visuals, and wire up conversion tracking before launch — not after.
Controlled test
Two to four weeks at a deliberate budget, structured so the result is readable: enough variants to learn from, not so many that nothing reaches significance.
Scale what converts
Kill the losers, push budget into the contexts that produce cheap qualified traffic, and benchmark cost per result against your Google Ads and organic numbers.

Questions we get asked
Can we advertise in ChatGPT from Latvia or elsewhere in the EU?
Yes. As of September 2026 the self-serve Ads Manager covers 63 countries, and that includes every EU member state, plus the UK, Switzerland and Norway.
You can also run campaigns aimed at other markets from an EU account. We manage EU, UK and US campaigns for clients out of Riga.
Who actually sees these ads?
Only people on the Free and Go plans. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu users do not see ads at all, and neither do accounts identified as belonging to someone under 18.
That matters for targeting expectations: the paid tiers skew towards heavy professional users, so your ad reaches the broader consumer and small-business end of ChatGPT's audience rather than everyone on it.
How much do we need to spend to get a real answer?
There is no minimum total budget, and the US daily campaign minimum is $25. Daily minimums vary by market.
In practice we recommend €25–50 per day for two to four weeks per market. Below that you get numbers, but not enough of them to separate a real signal from noise.
Can we target keywords like in Google Ads?
No, and this is the single biggest adjustment for paid search teams. There is no keyword auction. You describe the conversational context you want to appear in, and the system judges whether your ad is relevant to what the user is actually discussing.
So the work moves from keyword and negative-keyword management to writing precise context briefs and testing creative. Get the brief wrong and no amount of bid tuning rescues the campaign.
Will we see which conversations triggered our ad?
No. Reporting is aggregate by design — advertisers never see individual conversations or personal information. That is a deliberate privacy boundary and it is not going to be relaxed.
What you do get: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, view-through measurement and third-party verification. Enough to manage the channel, but it does require a different optimisation habit.
How is this different from GEO?
ChatGPT Ads is paid placement — you buy visibility and it stops when the budget stops. GEO is organic: you earn the right to be the source the assistant quotes in its answer.
They work well together and for opposite reasons. Ads give you a read on demand within days; GEO compounds over quarters and keeps producing after you stop paying. Most clients test with ads and build with GEO. Our GEO service page covers the organic side.
